plans for 2023

As in previous years, the ambition of the Embassy of Dutch Creativity is to  in the midst of all other festival activities – promote the entire Dutch creative industry internationally. In addition, with Amsterdam as the leading capital, it wants to present the Netherlands as the place for business, collaboration and creative talent.

looking back to last year

During the festival week from 20 – 24 June 2022, the Embassy of Dutch Creativity was the place to meet fellow marketing and creative executives from all over the world. Our program looked as follows:

daily Every morning between the Embassy served breakfast for the creative youngsters from RA*W. Over a morning coffee and a croissant they shared their experiences of the festival. Check out the video’s from Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. On a daily basis New Business Radio broadcasted live from the Embassy between 17.00 – 19.00. You can listen to all Cannes episodes here.

monday 20/6 We kicked off the week on Monday. On the first day we met many old peers and also made many new (international) friends. In the afternoon we closed the day with drinks, discussion and reflection. Monday evening we organized the IAA Global Dinner. An evening of dinner, drinks and beachfront merriment.

 

tuesday 21/6 On Tuesday, it was all about Diversity, Inclusion and Equity in partnership with the World Federation of Advertisers and Creative Equals. The next morning we looked back on the day with Antoinette Hoes. Watch the video.

wednesday 22/6 The leaders of the future met their current predecessors during the Future Bosses lunch hosted by VIA Nederland. In the afternoon Dutch Digital Design discussed the Future of Design Experiences. Wednesday’s sundowners drinks were sponsored by the Advertising Association UK. Check out the Wednesday recap here.

thursday 23/6 In the morning we were all ready for a talk from Yune on how to become more creative. The (typical Dutch) weather threw a spanner in the works. Later PlusPlusOne hosted a session about underrepresented people in the creative industry. For lunch we welcomed the world’s leading trade journalists from the Epica Press Club. In the afternoon there were music matchmaking sessions by Buma Music in Motion and David Snellenberg launched his new book. The week was officially closed with a smashing performance ….

The Embassy of Dutch Creativity is the trade mission of the dutch creative industry around and during the international festival for creativity in Cannes.

The objective of the Embassy-platform is to engage with global partners, talent, media and with each other. The Embassy celebrates Dutch creativity and promotes the Netherlands – with Amsterdam as leading creative capital – as THE place to be for talent, partners and creative businesses.

The upcoming edition of the Embassy of Dutch Creativity during the advertising festival in Cannes is not yet certain. The organization is currently looking for enough ambassadors and partners to cover the costs. Before March 1, sufficient contributions must have been pledged to allow the 2023 edition to take place. Claim your spot as an ambassador or partner here.

From Monday 19 to Friday 23 June 2023, the Embassy of Dutch Creativity will once again set up camp on the Boulevard de la Croissette in Cannes. As in previous years, the ambition of the Embassy of Dutch Creativity is to  in the midst of all other festival activities – promote the entire Dutch creative industry internationally. In addition, with Amsterdam as the leading capital, it wants to present the Netherlands as the place for business, collaboration and creative talent.
